Delete your AttorneyDesk account
AttorneyDesk by AppVera LLC — delete your account and associated data.
This page is for AttorneyDesk by AppVera LLC. You can delete your account inside the app at any time, or ask us by email if you can't sign in.
1. How to delete your account
In the app (recommended):
- Open AttorneyDesk and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Lawyers: go to Settings → Delete account. Client portal users: open Settings in the client portal → Delete account.
- Read the summary and tap Delete my account. For your security, you may be asked to sign in again first.
Your account is locked right away and signed out on all devices, and we email you a confirmation. Your account and personal data are permanently deleted after 30 days.
Changed your mind? Email contact@appvera.app within 30 days to restore your account.
If you can't sign in, request deletion by email:
- Email contact@appvera.app from the same email address you use to sign in to AttorneyDesk.
- Use the subject: Delete AttorneyDesk account.
- Include: your full name, the account email, and whether you want a solo account deleted or an organization (firm) account.
We will confirm the request and complete deletion within 30 days, unless law requires us to keep some records longer.
2. What we delete
- Your login and profile (name, email, phone, photo) and your sign-in methods. If you used Sign in with Apple, we also revoke AttorneyDesk's access to your Apple ID.
- If you are the only member of your firm: the firm and all of its practice data — cases, documents, clients, messages, notes and files.
- Device identifiers, notification tokens, trusted devices and your notification settings.
- Client portal users: your portal access and personal data. Your lawyer keeps their own records of your cases.
3. What we may keep
- Records we must keep for tax, accounting, or legal reasons (for example, that a subscription was billed)
- App Store / Google Play keep their own purchase records; we cannot delete those
- If your firm has other members, the records you created (such as cases, documents and messages) stay with the firm and show as "Deleted user". Your personal details are removed.
- If you own a firm that still has other members, remove them first, or email us for help.
4. Subscriptions
Deleting your account stops renewals for plans billed directly by AppVera. It does not cancel App Store or Google Play subscriptions — cancel those in your store settings:
- iPhone / iPad: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → AttorneyDesk → Cancel
- Android: Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → AttorneyDesk → Cancel
5. Partial deletion (keep the account)
You can delete individual cases, documents, clients, and similar records inside AttorneyDesk without deleting the whole account. For a broader request (some data, not the account), email contact@appvera.app from your account email with the subject AttorneyDesk data request.
